Total Body Toning (Mondays 1:10-1:55pm) - focuses on providing you a full body workout that consists of working large muscle groups, core and abdominal exercises along with intermittent bouts of cardiovascular exercise. Modifications will be suggested for various fitness levels. Total Body Conditioning (Fridays, 12:10-12:55pm) - t his class will use a variety of equipment (balls, bands, weights, body weight) to help build strength and endurance for your total body workout. Tai Chi (Tuesdays, 1:10-1:55pm) - Tai Chi uses slow smooth body movements to achieve a state of relaxation of both body and mind. While keeping your body in constant motion, this class is low impact and puts minimal stress on muscles and joints. People who do Pilates regularly feel they have better posture, are less prone to injury, and experience better overall health. In addition, Pilates increases circulation and helps to sculpt the body and strengthen the body’s core or powerhouse (torso). Pilates (Thursdays, 12:10-12:55pm) - is a body conditioning routine that seeks to build flexibility, strength, endurance, and coordination without adding muscle bulk. Come and explore these gentle movements to help with your well-being. These classes have helped people who have limited mobility, repetitive stress injuries, and chronic pain. Employee Assistant Program (EAP) services are for active employees and immediate family members only. Wellness Center group exercise classes, workshops, coaching and other activities are open to all employees and retirees of the City and County of San Francisco, Superior Court of San Francisco, San Francisco Unified School District and City College of San Francisco.Įmployee and retiree family members may also participate in these activities, if they are age 18 or older and enrolled in a San Francisco Health Service System health plan.
